                            Anonymous

 To feel the warmth
Radiating from your body
As my hand presses upon you
Keeping you close to me

To feel the tension
Releasing away from my body
As your hand presses upon me
Keeping me close to you

This feeling of love so deep
Rushing through touch, sight, smell, sound, and taste
As our bodies express what no words could do
Keeping our souls connected like no other

To feel the disconnect
Raging inside of me
As my soul cries for a new life
Keeping you at a distance from me

To feel the loss
Rotting my insides away
As you say your final words
Keeping me from ever seeing you again

This feeling of desolation so deep
Raining upon my perception
As I lay expressionless upon the floor
Keeping myself from all being

To feel the penetration
Rescuing my soul from all loss
As your words intrigue my spirit
Keeping me from falling

To feel hope
Reviving my energy
As I let myself connect again
Keeping me in tune with you and the universe

This feeling of transition
Reuniting me with love and passion
As I contemplate the past, present, and future
Keeping me on the right path to continue on

"I'm in my last semester at Nicolet College, and I was inspired to make this poem from my own experience of the dramatic changes currently in my life."

"Are You Trying to Ruin My Holiday"
By Jim Jarvis

The Easter Bunny earns no money
with his cute tail and floppy ears,
Giving candy and treats to everyone he meets,
that they did not earn through sweat and tears.
Socialism or Communism,
either way it causes a schism
and it plays into capitalist's fears.
You lazy slobs, get some jobs
if you don't want to be the subject of Tea Party jeers.
If you're five years old, time to be bold,
it's never too early to embark on careers.
Don't let that decorated egg giving hare cause you to not care
and accept handouts like most of your peers.
For everything you get, you owe a debt
or you put the economy in arrears.
So tell that Bunny, no business that is funny,
if we want "Ayn Randian" cheers.
And let's not have anything said
about that fat man dressed in red
or you'll see smoke coming from ultraconservatives ears.

"In this poem I was just having some political fun."
